Last time, we talked about different ways to tune in to the body’s energy, from chakras to breath to sensation. We touched on the idea that the body is not just a thing we live in. It’s a living, sensing, intuitive guide.
Let’s go a bit deeper.
Because here’s the thing:
Your body has been with you through everything.
It remembers. It notices.
And it’s always sending you clues about what’s right, what’s off, and what needs your attention.
This isn’t woo. This is you.
Here are a few everyday examples of what it looks like when your body is speaking, and how you can begin to listen.
1. The “No” You Feel Before You Can Explain It
You’re invited to an event. You smile and say maybe, but something in your stomach tightens.
Or someone suggests a new project and your shoulders suddenly feel heavy.
That’s your body saying: This might not be it.
Even if your brain hasn’t caught up yet.
This is your inner compass in action.
Sometimes the body knows long before the mind has time to weigh the pros and cons. That’s part of why we explore the chakra, they help you map where these intuitive signals live.
The Solar Plexus, for example, governs gut instinct and personal power.
If it’s buzzing with discomfort or dull with exhaustion, that’s worth noticing.
2. The Unexpected Energy Drop
Ever walked into a room and felt drained? Or spent time with someone who seems lovely but you leave feeling totally flat?
That’s your energy field, your system, picking up on more than words.
And it’s information.
This doesn’t mean you need to run from every person who gives you a heavy feeling. But it does mean you can start paying attention. Noticing the patterns.
Your body doesn’t lie.
3. When Joy Feels Physical
Now let’s flip it.
Think of a moment when you felt completely lit up.
A belly laugh. A spark of inspiration. That feeling when something just clicks.
That’s not random. That’s the body resonating with alignment.
And if you pay attention, you’ll start to notice what environments, people, or choices bring that feeling more often.
Your body doesn’t just help you avoid what’s not right.
It also pulls you toward what is.
You don’t need to understand everything all at once.
Just start by noticing.
The clenching. The warmth. The flutter. The pull.
For me it feels like a small bubble in my chest which opens with a small expansion for a ‘yes’ feeling, and a small contraction for a feeling of ‘no’.
Over time, this builds trust.
You begin to see that your body really does know.
And when you live in that kind of relationship with yourself — present, curious, connected — life feels better.
More balanced. More energised. More you.
Next, we’ll return to the chakra system to explore the Sacral Chakra, which is all about flow, creativity, and the joy of being alive in your body.
But for now, take a moment.
Close your eyes.
Ask your body: What are you trying to show me today?
And wait for the whisper.
