Join the talented artist Lucy Jackson for a retreat of mosaic, yoga, peaceful surroundings, fantastic food and friendly dogs. We invite seasoned mosaic artists as well as newbies – all levels of skill and creativity are welcome on this retreat where you will contribute to a group mosaic as well as complete your own project (or two!) to take home with you.
The group is kept small and intimate so that Lucy has plenty of time to assist all participants. This also creates the opportunity to forge new friendships across the tables of art supplies and broken crockery. Many of our past participants are still firm friends and come back together for more mosaic and art creation.
Our Art Studio is designed for warmth on cold winter days and to keep you cool in summer. It is also connected to the garden to enjoy the green grass, shady trees and sunshine. There is plenty of time on this retreat to step away from the creative work to take a peaceful walk in nature, to visit the horses or enjoy a relaxing massage. Optional daily yoga for all levels of yogis is included and you can look forward to our famously yummy farm-to-table food with excellent local wines.

The peaceful, tranquil Quinta Carvalhas is in the heart of the Ribatejo region on 42ha with forests of big trees, extensive gardens, plenty of horses and luxury accommodation in converted old barns. For the colder months this is the place to unwind with fires, hot chocolate, traditional Christmas treats, lots of books and friendly dogs to keep you company. In summer the pool and gardens beckon, with options of country walks, cycling and swimming in the farm pond.
